PPAA CEO Prof. Dr. Pushpanathan Sundram joined the opening panel at the ONERHT ASEAN Summit 2026 today, discussing how ASEAN can hold to its omnidirectional approach and avoid a binary US-China choice in this contested era, while shifting from declared frameworks to real delivery on energy security, food security, cybersecurity, air travel, electronic commerce and intra-ASEAN trade. With Singapore chairing ASEAN in 2027, he framed the role ahead as shepherd, not leader, moving all ten member states forward together, especially in economic integration, regional resilience, and the digital economy.
